CardScope

A small tool that fetches a URL at the edge, reads the Open Graph and Twitter tags, and shows how the unfurl will look on X, LinkedIn, Slack, Discord, and iMessage — plus a short checklist of what to fix. Free to use, with a $19 Pro unlock. No account. Page HTML is not stored.

Log

  1. Oct 5 snapshot

About 78 unique client IPs and 4,127 Worker requests Sep 28–Oct 4 (sampled from Worker logs — bots and tests included; not exact visits). Five more SEO guides shipped (library about a dozen); since Oct 4 core checks are Pro-only at $19 one-time. Four Pro licenses in KV, unchanged, and that count may include early test purchases.

  2. Sep 28 snapshot

124 unique visitor IPs and 5,516 requests in the last 7 days (a proxy, not exact unique visits), with 4 Pro licenses issued including at least one free test license. The Product Hunt launch on Sep 22 got a quiet reception. Five new SEO guides are live on cardscope.dev, and one directory listing is pending review.

  3. Sep 21 snapshot

About 498 unique visits so far (sum of Cloudflare daily uniques Sep 19–21 — not de-duplicated across days; zone only live since Sep 19). Three Pro licenses in KV, two Stripe checkouts (including a founder $0 test). Product Hunt prelaunch is up for Tue Sep 22; SEO guide is live; soft-launch directories are mixed.

  4. Launched on Cloudflare

Shipped CardScope on Cloudflare. Fetch at the edge, parse the tags in memory, then forget the page. That privacy note is the product, not a footer.

  5. Early build notes

Started as a scratch tool because every client reads a different set of meta tags. Slack wants Open Graph; Discord leans on twitter:card; iMessage falls apart without an image. One paste, five shells.

  6. Kept the scope small

Paste a URL, see the unfurl, fix the tags. No accounts, no stored HTML, no extra product around it.
